Arvina Vessel Lavatories: With their classically modern design, TOTO’s new Arvina Vessel Lavatories have a clean, uncomplicated look and are at home in both modern and traditionally styled settings. This year, TOTO introduces three new Arvina vessel designs: one square and two round. The square Arvina vessel has a straightforward linear shape that integrates beautifully with other neutral elements in the bath space. It measures 16-9/16” x 16-9/16”. This geometric vessel has a generous basin that measures 16-1/16 across to provide users with plenty of space and minimal splash.

The two Arvina round vessels are artful in their own right and offer an understated, classic elegance. Their quiet sophistication complements commercial and residential applications with a timeless sensibility equally at home in modern or traditional environments. The round Arvina vessels measure 15-3/4”x 4-15/16 and 16-9/16” x 4-15/16”. Their generous circular basins measure 16-1/16 and 15-1/4 across, so users have plenty of room with minimal splash.

Promenade II 1G and Drake II 1G Round Front: Committed to sustainability and honoring people, the planet, and our water supply, TOTO unveils the new WaterSense-labelled, one- and two-piece Promenade II 1G and round-front Drake II 1G ultra high-efficiency 1.0 gpf toilets (UHETs). With their unsurpassed Tornado flushing technology, these new UHETs deliver unequaled flushing performance using only one gallon of water. The new 1G models join TOTO rapidly expanding line of ultra high-efficiency toilets, which includes the Carlyle II 1G, Vespin II 1G, elongated Drake II 1G and UltraMax II 1G.

MH Wall-Hung High-Efficiency ToiletTOTO expands its line of wall-mount toilets with
the new MH dual-flush model, which combines powerful Dual-Max 3D Tornado flushing performance with an elegant appearance inspired by long-view trends in global design—modern, clean, simple, and timeless. The WaterSense labelled MH high-efficiency toilet (HET) joins TOTO’s popular Maris and Aquia wall-hung, dual-flush models.

The wall-mount MH HET’s Dual-Max 3D Tornado flushing system puts an end to a common complaint that many dual-flush HET owners have—the need to flush, then brush the bowl to remove streaking after every solid stop. CeFIONtect, TOTO’s nano-technology glaze, protects the bowl, enabling the water that cleanses the bowl and rim during the flush to remove waste, stains, residue, and limescale buildup as well. Owners will need fewer harsh detergents when cleaning the bowl, which are expensive and harmful to the planet.

The NEOREST 500HWinner of the highly sought international Red Dot design award for excellence in innovation, functionality, quality, ergonomics and durability, the NEOREST 500H offers all of the People-First Innovations that consumers have come to expect from this high-tech, auto-aware line. Its integrated Washlet personal cleansing system offers warm, aerated water, warm air dryer, and heated seat; auto open/close and auto flush; in-bowl catalytic deodorizer; and energy- and water-saving features. Its elegant appearance is inspired by long-view trends in global design—modern, clean, simple, and timeless.

The NEOREST 500H offers ultra high-efficiency Tornado dual-flush technology, which consumes a modest one-gallon of water per flush (gpf) for the full flush and 0.8 gpf for the light. The system builds on TOTO’s patented Tornado flushing technlogy, which releases a powerful water jet inside the bowl and creates a whirlpool effect that effectively removes waste and cleans the bowl’s CeFIONtect glazed surface and rim more thoroughly and quietly than any other flushing system.

To ensure the bowl stays clean and fresh, the NEOREST 500H offers TOTO’s eWater+ technology. Using the incoming water supply, a pre-mist wets the bowl’s surface preventing waste’s adherence 80% better than dry porcelain. After each flush, TOTO’s eWater+ system mists the CeFiONtect glazed bowl with electrolyzed water, which has a slightly acidic pH value, to keep the bowl fresh and clean longer. eWater+ reduces the need for harsh chemicals during cleaning, which benefits the planet and saves consumers money.

  • Tornado Flush system, ultra-high efficiency (1.0GPF/3.8LPF and 0.8GPF/3.0LPF)
  • Integrated Washlet Personal Cleansing System
  • CeFiONtect ceramic glaze
  • Skirted design
  • Premist™ of bowl before each use
  • Auto open/close lid, auto flush

Libella EcoPower Faucet SeriesTOTO’s new Libella Faucet Series offers elegant contemporary design combined with the company’s innovative EcoPower self-sustaining hydropower technology, providing reliable high performance in the most demanding commercial environments. Ideal for high-end commercial applications, including hospitality environments and upscale office buildings, the Libella Series features both deck- and wall-mount options, providing design flexibility for architects and interior designers.

The Libella EcoPower Faucets’ energy source is completely self-generated. The handsome chrome fittings create their own electricity every time water spins their small internal turbine. Stored in a series of rechargeable capacitors, this auto-generated electricity powers the faucets’ operation. There is no need to hard wire them to a building’s electrical system (which significantly increases installation cost) or for routine disposable battery replacement (an ongoing maintenance expense harmful to the environment).

The new Libella EcoPower high-efficiency faucets’ platform eliminates the need for daily use to power the faucets’ operation. This platform also significantly increases the faucets’ ease of installation, requiring one controller for both single supply and thermal supply models.

Libella EcoPower faucets’ spout-tip sensor accurately detects hands’ presence. Water is only released when hands are present – no false positives. Once hands are removed, the water ceases immediately – no water waste.

Washlet G400Recently, TOTO achieved a major global milestone with its popular Washlet line of personal cleansing systems. To date, the company has sold more than 40 million Washlets worldwide since their 1980 launch in Japan. To celebrate, TOTO introduces the new Washlet G400, which integrates the Washlet personal cleansing system with a sleek compact sensor-operated toilet.

The sensor-activated Washlet G400’s toilet offers users the height of convenience and luxury by opening, closing, and flushing automatically. Its Universal Height design facilitates ease of use.

The WaterSense labelled Washlet G400’s Dual-Max 3D Tornado gravity-fed, high-efficiency flushing system enables users to select the volume of water needed to clear the bowl—1.28 gpf for the full flush or 0.9 gpf for the light—which saves money and water. By simultaneously releasing three powerful water jets inside its bowl, the Washlet G400’s Dual-Max 3D Tornado system creates a whirlpool effect that removes waste completely and cleans the entire bowl’s surface more thoroughly and quietly than any other flushing system.

  • Integrated toilet with a compact design.
  • Washlet Personal Cleansing System
  • Tornado Flush™ system (1.28/0.9GPF)
  • CeFiONtect™ ceramic glaze – prevents debris, and mold from sticking to ceramic surfaces, leading to fewer chemicals and less water in cleaning
  • Auto open/close lid
  • Premist™ of bowl before each use
  • Convenient remote control
  • Adjustable heated seat
  • Meets WaterSense efficiency and performance standards

Re-Engineered EcoPower Flush ValvesTOTO continues the revolution in aqua-electronic technology by re-engineering its EcoPower high-efficiency flush valves for toilets and urinals, dramatically enhancing their effectiveness and ease of installation.

The EcoPower flush valve’s self-adjusting sensor does not require manual calibration, thereby providing fast and easy installation. The sensor’s detection beam pulses, instead of monitoring continuously, removing unnecessary strain on the sensor eye. To conserve its self-generated energy, the EcoPower flush valve records its usage patterns, then reduces its beam cycles during non-peak use periods.

For its EcoPower flush valves, TOTO has engineered a piston design made from chemically-resistant POM plastic resin that will not allow scale or water treatments to damage its body; therefore, the piston’s anticipated life expectancy is significantly longer than current bronze models. Its piston valve technology is a marked improvement over traditional rubber diaphragm type valves. Longer piston travel and self-cleaning 360°debris screen reduce common problems such as continuous running and flooding. The piston seat will not warp or mis-seal, significantly reducing repair and maintenance costs. With each activation, a micro-porous cup seal keeps the piston self-lubricated, using the incoming water supply.

TOTO EcoPower flush valves have a neutral rough-in. They can be used in a right or left rough-in with no modification.

Replacing sensor flush valves’ disposable batteries costs time and money—and generates hazardous battery waste, which is harmful to the environment. TOTO’s re-engineered EcoPower flush valves’ store their self-generated electrical energy in a series of capacitors, eliminating the need for disposable battery replacement, which helps reduce toxic battery waste. By installing EcoPower flush valves, plumbing engineers and building maintenance teams no longer have to worry about budgeting for disposable batteries, battery shelf life, or low-quality batteries and their short life span. Plus, EcoPower flush valves do not contribute to hazardous battery pollution.

TOTO designs the outside of every product as the company innovates the technology inside. Inspired by long-view trends in global design, and what people need and want in its products, TOTO integrates form and function for the ultimate bathroom experience. The designs for the new exposed valve and concealed valve faceplates are classically modern with a clean, uncomplicated look. They integrate beautifully with the other products in the bathroom’s interior design.

Two panels on either side of the macerator allow every major component inside to be readily serviced without disconnecting the unit from the toilet or the rest of the plumbing system.

The SANIACCESS2 above-floor macerating plumbing system from SFA Saniflo U.S.A. handles sink and toilet fixtures in powder room applications and comes equipped with two access panels that allow for easy internal service. Periodic maintenance can be accomplished quickly and easily without having to disconnect the unit from the fixtures it is serving.

“This critical, dual-access feature is what makes the new-generation SANIACCESS2 macerator a truly unique and superior solution for contractors,” says Regis Saragosti, CEO of SFA Saniflo. The company invented above-floor macerating plumbing technology in Europe in the late 1950s, bringing it to the U.S.A. in the 1990s.

“Our half-century of experience in this field has enabled us to create a system that requires less time on the job site, whether installing a new system or servicing an existing one. That means a lower overall cost for the homeowner and higher productivity for the contractor.”

Full access: Two service panels provide direct access to different segments of the macerating unit, allowing easy inspection and servicing of all major components:

  • Through one opening, an installer or service contactor can access the electrical components as well as the pumpʼs level sensor mechanism.
  • The second panel provides ready access to the basket area around the macerating blades for easy removal of any large objects that may have been accidentally flushed.

“Every single component can be serviced or replaced without disconnecting the entire system,” says Saragosti. “That’s a huge time- and money-saver for service techs, enabling them to finish their work and get on to the next job that much faster.”

Other Features:

  • Accommodates a half bath: Using the 1½-inch inlets located on either side of the macerator, which double as possible vent connections, the SANIACCESS2 can handle wastewater from toilets and sinks. “This feature permits the installation of a powder room in any space where no below-floor drainage currently exists,” explains Saragosti.
  • Powerful cutting action: Water and waste entering the macerator are quickly reduced to slurry by stainless-steel blades that rotate at 3600 rpm (revolutions per minute). The centrifugal force drives the reduced solids through a grill to an impeller mounted beneath the pump motor, which then ejects the effluent through discharge piping connected to the top of the macerator. “The patented blades in our macerators have been proven performers over fifty years in a wide variety of applications,” says Saragosti. “Homeowners can therefore be confident that they will never need to replace them.”
  • Connects easily: The SANIACCESS2 discharges effluent through a ¾-inch-diameter pipe, usually made of PVC, which connects to the main plumbing system in a home. The macerator has a vertical pumping distance of up to 15 feet when installed below the sewer line; and nearly 150 feet horizontally – or a lesser combination of these two distances. An integral check valve on the discharge pipe conveniently rotates 360-degrees without any special tools to accommodate different installations.
  • Operates quietly: Sound-absorbing “silent blocks,” made of rubber and strategically placed around the motor and at the base of the SANIACCESS2, reduce the amount of vibration transmitted through its walls to outside surfaces. Anti-vibration studs at the bottom of the macerator lift the unit slightly above the floor, further reducing the transmission of vibrations. The end result is the quietest macerator on the market, with a noise level nearly 10 decibels less than that of the older above-floor plumbing systems – or comparable to that of a conventional toilet re-filling.

The SANIACCESS2 ships fully preassembled and ready for installation directly behind the rear-outlet toilet that is available with the macerator. If the home or building owner prefers to conceal the unit behind a finished wall, an 18-inch extension pipe for making the macerator-toilet connection is available. “Just as the components of the SANIACCESS2 are best-in-class, so is the overall look of the unit itself,” says Saragosti. “Its stylish design will be right at home in any contemporary bathroom.”

As with other Saniflo above-floor macerating products, the SANIACCESS2 permits the creation of a new powder room in virtually any space that lacks below-floor drainage and where conventional plumbing would be impractical. Walls and floors remain intact, and installation is accomplished quickly and economically with minimal disturbance to room layout. The system can be fully operational in as little time as a half-day.

“The SANIACCESS2 provides both the contractor and his customer with a profitable, installer-friendly alternative when conventional plumbing is neither convenient nor cost-effective,” states Saragosti.

Saniflo Offers New, More Contemporary-Looking China Bowls for Selected Macerating Toilet SystemsWaterSense®, high-efficiency models (1.28 GPF), with either elongated or round fronts, will be offered with Saniplus, Saniaccess2, Saniaccess3 and Sanibest Pro macerating plumbing systems.

Saniflo U.S.A. has unveiled two new, vitreous china, floor-mounted toilet bowls with an updated and contemporary styling, the better to complement modern bathroom design. Available in white with either an elongated or round front, the new bowls are being combined with four current Saniflo macerating plumbing systems: Saniplus, Saniaccess2, Saniaccess3 and Sanibest Pro.

Clean and highly efficient

Saniflo vitreous china toilets are designed for durability, with a high-gloss finish that is easy to keep clean and fresh. Both toilets are high-efficiency, meeting the WaterSense® labeling criteria of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and using only 1.28 gallons per flush (1.28 GPF).

Carrying a one-year warranty, both units feature a wash-down-style flushing action with a 3-inch trapway. The vitreous china toilet tank used with both bowls is insulated at the factory to minimize water droplets created by condensation. Inside is a flush valve with a silicone flapper seal that also has a one-year warranty.

Both the elongated and round-front toilet bowls have a floor-to-rim height of 16.75 inches, enhancing user comfort and convenience. The elongated model, which measures 28.75 inches deep, complies with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) because of its shape and height.

Both new china units feature stylish, soft-close toilet seats (photo right) that are included with the fully assembled bowl and tank along with all the other necessary hardware to complete the installation.

How Maceration Works

The integral P-trap of the bowl evacuates through a spigot outlet in the rear of either new bowl, rather than at the bottom, as with a conventional toilet bowl. This configuration permits connection with the Saniflo macerator, located behind the bowl — either between it and the wall, or concealed behind the wall with the use of Saniflo’s special extension pipe. For the first time, this pipe includes paintable decorative trim for a cleaner finish to the installation where the pipe penetrates the wall.

Saniflo macerators quickly and quietly reduce incoming solid and liquid effluent from the toilet bowl before discharging it vertically through small-diameter piping to a sewer or septic line. These above-floor plumbing systems allow home and building owners to create bathrooms wherever they are needed, even where no below-floor drainage exists — thus avoiding the hassle and expense of breaking through floors.

Dimensions, Compliances

The nominal dimensions of the new bowls are 31 inches high (tank to floor), 17.75 inches wide, and either 27 inches (round front) or 28.75 inches (elongated) deep (bowl edge to tank back). These dimensions and the hydraulic performance of the bowls meet or exceed the following specificationss:

  • ANSI/ASME A112.19.2M and CAN/CSA B45 requirements;I
  • APMO/UPC Certificate of Listing;
  • EPA WaterSense certification.
